It has been so fun to run out and take a picture of the progress at the end of each day...which has been about the extent of my involvement.
Of course...as with every other room in our house...I have my design folder. So, I can take credit for suggesting the "look". If you peep through my "porch/yard" folder you can find porches similar to the one they are building that I liked (which my expert father-in-law made a reality by just glancing through them...which is amazing!), paint colors, the fabric colors, the layout of the room on graph paper, etc.
Some details:
- Fabric colors are lime and coral (Jay says "Bobcat orange"-and it is pretty darn close to that!) with a third accent color that I can switch out-which is currently blue.
- The roof is painted metal...made to look like a copper roof.
- All of the porch...except the floor...will be painted white (not sure on the floor color yet).
- One of the pieces of furniture is a porch swing. Which I am SO excited about! Oh how I wish I had that when my kids were babies. I may not have EVER left it. Guess I'll just have to borrow some of my friend's babies to rock. Afterall, our 2011 batch of sweet babies has already begun!!!
- The screened door will be painted black.

The porch looks great. What a difference a week of work makes :). I can't wait to see it in person. Miss you. Pass on my congrats to Tara on the new baby---looks like another baby with a head full of gorgeous hair.
