Serendipity...

Whew!  I have SO much to blog about.  Coming up soon will be a Power of Moms post...let me just say that for me this conference was LIFE CHANGING!  Also coming up are some pictures from Betsy's birthday week!  Her class had a birthday ceremony on Tuesday and we had a family birthday party on Saturday.

For now...I did a post a while back about serendipitous moments.  I have still been keeping my eyes open for these precious moments that ABSOLUTELY make my day.  Last week I took Jay to a hair appointment with Miss Lindsay.  As I was waiting for him in the waiting area I struck up a conversation with the man beside of me.  Turns out he is a grandpa to two boys and lately he has been working on roller derby cars with the oldest.  Last year they won for the region!  Oh, the way this grandpa's eyes lit up when he was telling me about how this year they are tweaking the car just a little to see if they can make it faster than last year's car. 

I just thought of how special he must be to his grandkids and even if they don't know it yet...the twinkle in his man's eye and his love and patience for them is bottled up inside of them somewhere like a hidden treasure...A part of them that makes them feel just a little extra special about themselves.
