Serendipity...

"A happy accident; The quality or faculty, through awareness and good fortune, of being able to find something good while seeking something else."

My September book is a good one.  I've been on the road a good bit lately for work, but my eyes have been open and my heart has been full.  I'm finding that if I open myself to look for things each day...I find them.

On an inspection last week, an owner of a local business shared to me her sorrow in losing one of her two boys to cancer.  She said she was thinking of him because he would have been about my age.  He was in his early 20s when he died and she expressed to me that she will never be the same again and she will never look at life the same again.  As a mother, I 100% understood.  She said that a month after losing him people were telling her that she needed to move on and get on with her life.  She and her husband have bee hive boxes running down the side of their business.  She said that after her son died she sometimes feels that the bees are easier to understand than people and they bring her a sense of peace.  Later that week in my Bible readings I noticed the mention of honey twice.

I came upon this cemetary in Chester.  The pictures don't do it justice.  It was a beautiful day and the cemetary was perfectly manicured.

I literally snapped these pictures in two seconds as I was passing by.  In that short amount of time, a car stopped and a lady asked me if I had family in the cemetary.  I told her no, but I thought it was a beautiful place.  She said that they try to always keep it that way, but this week especially because it was Homecoming Sunday.  She invited me for Sunday service.

Saluda County's Public Library.

A visual reminder of all of those who give their life for us and our freedom.

It was absolutely breathtaking.

I took this one for the kids.  I know they wonder what I do all day. Moo!

This rainbow yesterday was ALMOST a full one.
Have a great weekend!!!

So can you please travel to Gville for work so we can get together for lunch? I know of some great scenic places that would make for great blog posts if that not enough incentive :)
